Beating a Deadhorse

Posted on July 9, 2010

Rudi exults at the Arctic Circle sign, 110 miles into the Dalton Highway ride. He forgot that there is still over 300 miles more to go to Deadhorse/Prudhoe Bay!

Jesse at only Deadhorse sign in town. It's at the general store where all the Deadhorse decals were sold out.

Jesse is the more sober-minded rider here. We swapped taking photographs with a couple of Harley riders (one with a side car) who turned back to head to Fairbanks here. Many riders do this as this is still a great accomplishment for any motorcyclist.

They’ve made it!!  The duo has reached Prudhoe Bay/Deadhorse after 12hrs and 531 miles. Rumor has it that they have even been able to clean the bug juice and dirt off their bodies. In the morning they tackle the next adventure…polar bear wrestling in the Arctic Ocean! Check back soon to see what happens
